Alaskan Bush People fans are fleeing in the millions and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that family patriarch Billy Brown is "desperately" trying to save his family's sinking ship.
3.4M people tuned in for the season 8 premiere of Alaskan Bush People on August 18, 2018 — putting it in the #1 spot among the Sunday cable program spot, according to the website TV By The Numbers.
The show stayed on top for most of the season, as matriarch Ami Brown battled late stage lung cancer on-camera.
Sadly, Billy, 66, Ami, 55, and their seven children did not have the same luck this season!
According to the same site Season 9 premiere of Alaskan Bush People, which aired on March 24, had only 1.8 million viewers and ranked in at #14 among the Sunday cable programs.
The website showed that Alaskan Bush People lost half their fans in one season — going from .8 to .4!
So why the dramatic decrease?
A source told RadarOnline.com exclusively, "it could be due in part to Ami's cancer battle being over, but it is also due to the fact that the Alaskan Bush People no longer live in the Alaskan Bush."
"They are going to pull out all the stops to save the show," the insider said. "Gabe's wedding to Raquell, Noah's baby and family feuding will hopefully bring ratings."
