Portia de Rossi’s tears are the latest sign her rocky marriage to Ellen DeGeneres is hurtling toward a $400 million divorce.

“Portia is at her wit’s end,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “As much as they try to deny any problems, it’s pretty clear they’re leading separate lives.”

De Rossi, 46, was recently spotted with teary eyes as she left a West Hollywood eatery. She was also being comforted on the street by a man believed to be her brother, Michael Rogers.

According to multiple sources, the Arrested Development star recently learned DeGeneres, 61, plunked down $27.5 million on a new home in rural California.

“People involved in making the deal were gagged by nondisclosure agreements, which may have been to stop them spilling the details to Portia,” an insider said, adding, “It doesn’t take a genius to figure out this is Ellen’s bachelorette pad for rebuilding her life after Portia.”

The couple has recently endured a string of troubles.

Sources said they engaged in a brutal battle when de Rossi rejected DeGeneres’ pleas to adopt a child to save their marriage. In the following weeks, DeGeneres was spotted several times without her wedding ring.

As RadarOnline.com reported, de Rossi retreated to a newly purchased $15 million mansion in Beverly Hills, while DeGeneres licked her wounds in Southern California.

Tensions exploded again when DeGeneres defended Kevin Hart after his homophobic tweets were exposed.

“They have been at each other’s throats for most of the year, and Portia’s discovery of Ellen’s secret getaway may ultimately be too big a hurdle for them to overcome,” said the source.
