Porporino, an executive producer of American Chopper, told Radar that Kerik’s personal history is “a story that needs to be told. Bernie’s heroism, courage, dedication, and service to this country far surpasses any mistakes he has made.”
Porporino told Radar he optioned both of Kerik’s best-selling novels, The Lost Son: A Life in Pursuit of Justice and From Jailer to Jailed: My Journey from Correction and Police Commissioner to Inmate 84888-054.
“The world is going to finally get to see an in-depth look about who Bernie Kerik really is,” Porporino explained to Radar about the project.
“Kerik came from humble beginnings and grew up on the streets of Newark and Paterson NJ. He dropped out of 11th grade and rose the ranks to become the 40th Police Commissioner of the NYPD. He was
serving in that capacity during the 9/11 attacks, people want to know his story,” Porporino told Radar.
