American Chopper executive producer Franco Porporino Jr. is expanding his Hollywood empire outside of hit television shows to include partnering with George Lopez and returning to the radio.
Porporino, hailing from Wayne, New Jersey, is responsible for the American Chopper reboot on Discovery Channel.
“Reality TV and fame sometimes takes a toll on the talent,” Porporino explained to RadarOnline.com about Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr.’s relationship.
“Both father and son are truly both very talented in their own ways but I think that the whole world wants to see them make amends and not take each other for granted.”
Fans of the show saw the father son duo’s relationship hit a rough patch, but Porporino told RadarOnline.com that was temporary.
“I’m rooting for them. Life is short, I think they both learned a valuable lesson and realized now that, nothing in the TV business is certain. I personally wouldn’t want anything more than them having a good father and son relationship, that would mean more to me than being a producer on this show.”
Porporino became a Hollywood name when he earned a small part in an indie film 10 years ago, and then made an appearance in Martin Scorsese's film The Wannabe. He just wrapping filming on Scorsese’s film The Irishman.

Porporino is currently co-producing a wrongful conviction docu-series with CEO Lori Rothschild Ansaldi and Sal Vasquez (Tent City Productions/Fremantle Media).
“In the last year I have met many producers and Lori is someone that I truly respect in this business,” he told RadarOnline.com.
In 2015 Porporino was awarded the Italian Tribune Young Italian Entrepreneur Award in and the Man of the Year for this work as a philanthropist at the Integrity House. He is nominated for the 2018 Man of the Year award by the East Hanover Italian American Society.
