Meghan Markle Slammed For Taking Private Jet To Luxe NYC Baby Shower
Feb. 22 2019, Updated 1:17 p.m. ET
Meghan Markle may have enjoyed a luxurious baby shower in New York City this week, but RadarOnline.com has learned that she's being slammed for taking a private jet to get there.
Prince Harry's pregnant wife resurfaced in the Big Apple on Feb. 19 for a glam event at the Mark Hotel to celebrate her soon-to-be first child's impending arrival. According to several angry tweeters, however, the Duchess' decision to fly private goes against her own husband's climate change campaign.
One online tweeter ripped Markle for being a hypocrite.
"They are Patrons of charities for the disadvantaged. The obscene cost of this trip is utter hypocrisy. Not to mention the carbon footprint of taking a private jet," a Twitter user wrote.
The diva duchess was joined by celebrities Natalie Portman, Abigail Spencer and Benjamin Millepied at the shower. According to reports, the NYC event cost a whopping $500,000, which angered fans even more.
"WTF! she had 2 Royal Protection officers as well which cost the UK tax payer (sic)," an angry user tweeted. "So all Meghan fans keep saying she has her own money...if she had used her $5 million pot to fund everything she would be in debt already #megxit."
The Royal Family, including the seven-month pregnant Duchess, has been very vocal about the need to take care of the environment. A source previously told RadarOnline.com that Markle, 37, imposed a two-child limit on Prince Harry for the sake of climate change and economic equality.

Following her glam shower on Tuesday, Thomas Markle's daughter enjoyed a night out with BFFs Serena Williams and Jesica Mulroney at Ralph Lauren's exclusive Polo Bar restaurant.
Markle was then reportedly joined by her friend Amal Clooney for the trans-Atlantic private flight back home.
