The Young and The Restless star Kristoff St. John has suddenly passed away after a possible alcohol overdose, RadarOnline.com can report.
An official at the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the actor was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Sunday, Feb. 3. He was 52 years old.
"He passed away at 2:05 p.m.," an LAPD official confirmed to RadarOnline.com.
According to the LAPD, Kristoff's death "could possibly be an alcohol overdose."
It appears Kristoff's death is not considered suspicious, as LAPD officials confirmed they have passed the case on to the Los Angeles Coroner's Office.
Kristoff's sudden death comes after the actor threatened suicide in 2017. As RadarOnline.com reported, Kristoff's ex-wife, boxer Mia St. John, called the cops after the actor texted her disturbing photos of himself holding a gun to his head.
The actor was hospitalized for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation.
In 2014, Kristoff and Mia's son, Julian, took his own life at age 24. He was found dead with a bag over his head in a bathroom at La Casa Mental Health Hospital in Long Beach, Calif., where he was seeking help.
The heartbroken parents struggled with his death and filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the mental health facility for failing to prevent their son from the tragic event. The suit was settled in 2017, according to online reports.
