As RadarOnline.com knows, Lange tested positive for cocaine and heroin.

The Assistant Prosecutor added, "He is being evaluated and will be placed in treatment. But that could take a while."

According to an insider close to the 51-year-old funnyman, Lange is expected to remain at Essex County Jail to detox before he heads to a treatment center.

"He went to a four-day jail detox, then has to see the judge," the insider told RadarOnline.com. "Then he is going to a long-term rehab."

"He has been alienating everyone. There is no bail for him in this situation. Because of his medical issues, his diabetes and what not, he might be in detox for a lot longer than four days."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, during Lange's last hearing before the New Year, he tested positive for cocaine while in court.

Judge Nancy Sivilli had warned the troubled comic that she would be sentencing him to drug court, but if he was not accepted into the program he could be facing jail.

“If you are not accepted into it, then if I bring you back, unfortunately, I will have to sentence you to jail time,” the judge said. “So let’s bring you back in thirty days to allow the application process to be completed, and the evaluation process to be done. And I hope Mr. Lange if you are accepted to the program you take full advantage of it. Because it will be able to help you.”

An insider previously revealed that Lange would rather go to jail then attend the drug court program which has been pegged as a "intense recovery program and drug testing will be issued under intensive supervision."

"He knows he won’t survive drug court," the insider explained. "So he’s going to party as much as much as he can until he gets thrown in jail or a year-long rehab.”

Looks like Lange got his wish.
