‘TOP CHEF’ STAR FATIMA ALI DEAD AT 29
Brave Top Chef star Fatima Ali has lost her battle to cancer.
She passed away on Friday, January 25 after being diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing's sarcoma in 2017.
In early 2018, she was declared cancer-free, only to find out in September that the disease had returned.
Bravo released in a statement, "We are deeply saddened to share the news that Fatima Ali has lost her courageous battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time. People not only fell in love with her cooking, but fell in love with her personality and heart. We hope that the beautiful memories shared with her will provide comfort to everyone who knew and loved her."
Aliza Raza shared the devastating news on Instagram.
"Fatima Ali (Chef Fati!) and her brave battle with cancer ended today," Raza wrote. "Known for her win on Top Chef, but even more for her dynamic personality and hilarious wit, the young chef inspired thousands across borders. Please recite a special prayer for her and her loved ones. May she rest in power? #cheffati #f**kcancer."
Bruce Kalman, who competed with Ali on season 15 of Top Chef, also posted a message following her death.

RadarOnline.com previously revealed how Ali asked for prayers as she fought her illness.
On a recent Instagram post, she revealed her health was declining after receiving treatment.
“I know it’s been ages since I posted and most may have figured out why." she wrote. "I’m sick and unfortunately I’m getting sicker."
