Former Top Chef contestant Fatima Ali is asking for prayers as she continues to battle cancer. On her latest Instagram post, the 29-year-old revealed her health is still declining following over one year of treatment.

“I know it’s been ages since I posted and most may have figured out why. I’m sick and unfortunately I’m getting sicker,” she wrote next to a photo of herself lying in her hospital bed.

RadarOnline.com readers know Lakshmi, 48, has been a big supporter of Ali throughout her difficult journey. When the chef first underwent surgery in January of 2018, Lakshmi shared a sweet post asking everyone to send good thoughts her way.

She was also there for her when her cancer returned later that year.

Ali has remained positive throughout her experience, despite the fact that she had to undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy to get rid of her Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of cancer that often occurs around the bones.

“Right now all I need are prayers; prayers that are simple. I hope, because a wish is putting on too much responsibility on the other, that you will somehow find forgiveness in your big heart for whenever I must have hurt you,” she continued in her post. “I thank you a million times over for when you have given me joy. I’ll try to keep everyone updated the best that I possibly can.”

Stay strong Fatima Ali!
