Pete Davidson is looking forward to 2019 after enduring a difficult year.

The comic took to the stage on New Year's Eve and opened-up about his heartbreaking split with Ariana Grande.

The 25-year-old talked to the crowd at the Chevalier Theatre in Boston about his relationship and paid tribute to his mom Amy.

He revealed how he cried at the table with her after his split from the famous singer.

"It made me see how ugly people can get, and how cool people can be," he revealed.

And he talked about Grande's follow-up single 'Thank U Next' in which she name dropped him and other boyfriends.

Davidson noted that most artists opt to not name their exes in songs. "Not this wonderful lady," he joked. "This diabolical genius named all of us."

The song was released minutes before his Saturday Night Live performance.

At the time he told his friends: "We all have to listen to this song and you all have to look at me," and "it's gonna be rough," though they all admitted the song was "catchy."

Davidson worried fans after he posted on Instagram "I really don't want to be on this earth anymore."

However, he now seems to be in 'a better place' according to sources.
