The search for missing Colorado mom Kelsey Berreth is still on after the human remains discovered on Sunday have been identified as another local woman who went missing last month, RadarOnline.com can report.
On January 6, residents in Aguilar, Colorado discovered human remains at a truck stop off of Interstate 25. The development sparked rumors that Berreth, 29, was finally found.
However, an autopsy was completed by the coroner's office on Tuesday, Jan. 8, confirming that the body belonged to another missing female named Labrea Jackson, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation confirmed in a press release.
Jackson, 23, was reported missing to the Aurora Police Department in Colorado by family members on December 26, 2018. According to the news release, investigators "have been tirelessly investigating her disappearance, and working with her family."
Jackson's remains have now sparked a new homicide investigation into her death, Colorado authorities confirmed.
Meanwhile, Berreth's family still fears the worse outcome as cops presume the mother is deceased.
Berreth was last seen with her one-year-old daughter on November 22, 2018n at a supermarket. She shared her baby girl with fiancé Patrick Frazee.
Frazee has since been arrested and charged with five counts of murder. He is accused of plotting to Rob Berreth and hiring a hitman to kill her.
The latest development in Berreth's disappearance occurred in Idaho. A woman from Twin Falls who works as a nurse is reportedly being investigated for allegedly disposing of Berreth's cell phone.
