Carrie Underwood has announced the birth of her second son.
The country superstar and her hockey player husband Mike Fisher welcomed a healthy boy on Monday, January 21, 2019, and she posted touching photos on Instagram.
Underwood, 35, wrote as a caption to a series of shots shared on Wednesday, January 23, "Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday...his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good...."
The shots showed the singer cuddling the baby after the birth and Fisher, 38, smiling widely as he also held little Jacob.
A third picture showed Fisher looking on as the couple's other son, Isaiah, 3, held the baby.
Underwood and Fisher, who married in 2010, were ecstatic after she previously revealed her hard fertility road.
The "Jesus, Take The Wheel" singer admitted in fall 2018 that she'd suffered from three miscarriages in the previous two years.
While expecting her second child, she recalled going through multiple miscarriages in an interview with CBS This Morning.
The singer experienced the first miscarriage in 2017.
“I’d kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby,” Underwood said. “We got pregnant early 2017, and didn’t work out.”
The deeply religious American Idol winner noted that her faith helped in the dark days afterwards.

“…in the beginning, it was like, ‘Okay, God, we know this is, just wasn’t Your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.'”
But after suffering two more miscarriages--a second in 2017 and another in 2018, Underwood remembered, “at that point, it was just kind of like, ‘Okay, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?'”
She worried that things might go bad in her second 2018 pregnancy, but all was great with the baby and then she showed off her bump.
The singer revealed she was expecting a boy while cohosting the 2018 CMA Awards in November.
Now, Underwood and her husband are all smiles—and baby makes a family of four!
