Spice Girls Tour In Trouble: Ticket Sales Crash & Mel B Blames Victoria
Dec. 4 2018, Published 9:08 a.m. ET
The Spice Girls tour may be over before it even started, and RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal Mel B's blaming Victoria Beckham for not joining the group!
Tickets for the U.K. leg recently went on sale and sources say the sales are "terrible."
The girl group is in such trouble that no U.S. leg has even been scheduled as it was hoped that the sales for U.K. would be strong and convince the concert promoter that the U.S. was lucrative.
And the finger is being pointed at Posh Spice for the plunge. "Mel is blaming Victoria for not participating," the informant revealed exclusively to Radar.
After the girls initially announced their tour, Beckham said her purpose to opt out of joining her former Spice Girls band mates on their reunion tour was for the reason of “empowering women through fashion.”
“It’s always about empowering women, making women feel the best, most beautiful and strong version of herself," she said of her decision not to join. "With the Spice Girls it started as girl power. And now it’s about empowering women through fashion."

During her acceptance speech for the Fashion Icon Award, she said, “I do apologize for reading off of cards, but I hung up my microphone quite some time ago, and I get a little bit scared when I get on stage and I see a mic.”
She also took to Instagram after the reunion tour announcement: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012,” she wrote on Instagram. “I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
The line-up will be Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm) and Scary Spice, (Melanie Brown).
The Spice Girls were a four-piece group for two years after Geri quit the band in 1998.
