Jon Gosselin was recently granted temporary sole custody of son Collin, and now, the happy dad cannot wait to celebrate the holidays with his little family!
This Tuesday at WE Tv's Real Love: Relationship Reality TV's Past, Present and Future bash, the reality star told ET all about his festive plans.
"He is coming home to our house, and he's going to enjoy the holiday with us, and go to school, and be with his sister, Hannah," said Jon, 41, speaking of the troubled 14-year-old.
"He's really excited and we're really excited to have him home for the holidays," he continued. "And to enjoy the rest of his childhood."
Jon added that Collin will be living in his Pennsylvania home “indefinitely,” and while it will certainly be tough for him to adjust, he’ll do just fine.
"He's doing really well," Jon shared.
RadarOnline.com readers know Jon has been trying to get Collin out of his rehab center — where he is receiving treatment for his anger issues — for some time now. Sources close to him even said he was hoping to get him home by Christmas.
In the past few weeks, the famous dad has been gushing about Collin all over social media, regularly posting photos of the teen doing fun holiday activities with him and Hannah, 14.
The children — who are two of Jon and Kate Gosselin’s sextuplets — are now completely under his care. As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Jon won temporary custody of them this December, after a very nasty battle with his ex.
Talking to Us Weekly at the event, the father of eight admitted that he hasn’t seen all his kids together in about a year, as their last family meeting was “not good.”
“It was just volatile and a lot going on. It was just not a good time. Like, forced custody and all that kind of stuff,” said Jon. He added that Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden still aren’t speaking to him, but they do keep in touch with Hannah.
“If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections,” Jon told the magazine. “Eventually, if they come around and they want to talk to me, that’s cool.”
