Drew Barrymore is not here for the fakers.

This Thursday, the Blended actress took to Instagram to share two wildly different photos of herself: one a gorgeous studio shot, and another a sad and unglamorous selfie of her crying.

“What I propose some days are great and beautiful,” she began. “Sure, I can be this with two hours of hair and makeup and amazing photography and lighting. I also feel beautiful after a sweaty workout,” wrote Barrymore, 43, referring to the glam shot in her photo slideshow.

She continued, saying that feeling confident and happy and stunning takes work, but is also very achievable.

The star then gave a slight stink-eye to Hollywood, saying that the industry makes everything look gorgeous and great, but people are not perfect, and makeup doesn’t cover up the issues that matter.

“What I can’t hide is that some days are difficult and not so pretty... (swipe for photo #2 and I realize I am lucky with solvable problems and my gratitude is never ending. But sometimes life can just get to you and take you down for a minute!” wrote Barrymore. “But we cry and then pick ourselves up and put one foot in front of the other) Can anyone relate?”

Fans, friends and fellow A-listers quickly liked, commented and shared the actress’ post, commending her for her honesty and bravery.
