Sister bond!
Rory Feek’s lesbian daughter Hopie tied the knot with her fiancée and her sister Heidi vehemently defended her against gay marriage critics after the joyful ceremony.
RadarOnline.com exclusively broke the news about the conservative Christian family celebrating Hopie and Wendy’s wedding on October 27, 2018 and Heidi shared pictures from the beautiful ceremony only to be hit with a slew of negative comments.
“GOD doesn’t bless two women getting married…so don’t fool yourselves!!! Unchristian. Whoever the world likes the idea…So if you two women are O.k. while the approval of society and political correctness. ..great but do not associate this with god! Shame on your both…out of gods will,” one critic wrote on Heidi’s Instagram page.
But the proud sister had no time for the hater.
“I didn’t mention god. Also, I don’t think u know what political correctness is and also I’m blocking u now,” Heidi clapped back after the cruel comment.
“What a disappointment,” another commenter wrote, and Heidi quickly dismissed them as well.
“Well no worries bc ur not following me anymore ?,” she wrote as a response to the negative note.

Other followers showered the family with love, one writing: “LOVE WINS!!! Congrats, Hopie & Wendy! ??.”
Rory opened up about his initial struggle with his daughter coming out to him.
“She told me that her friend Wendy is more than just her friend. And that they had been dating for almost a year. And she was in love. I’m not sure what I was expecting her to say, but I wasn’t expecting that. A tear started to fall from my eye now.”
He proudly walked her down the aisle in his trademark overalls and his youngest daughter, Indiana, 4, was the flower girl.
Rory’s beloved wife, Joey Feek, passed away from cancer in 2012 shortly before Hopie told her father that she was gay.
“My conservative Christian faith was the first part of me to judge Hopie. To want to push her away. To withhold love from her. And she could feel it. See it in my eyes. And in that moment we had a conversation without any words,” Rory explained about his first reaction to the news.
But he accepted Hopie and Wendy and revealed he was “excited” about the wedding, he wrote in his book, This Life I Live.
“It will be a special day for someone who is special to me and her someone special. That is all I need to know. I choose to love her. To love them. Period. End of story.”
