Betrayed! Demi Lovato's Trainer BFF 'Hurt' After Star Fired Her Following Relapse
Demi Lovato's close friend and personal trainer is deeply "hurt" after having been kicked out of the star's life following her overdose, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Boxing and fitness coach, Danielle Martin, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview that she was fired by Lovato, 26, after the singer miraculously survived her horrific overdose earlier this year.
"I lost my job for speaking up for her, to be honest," Martin said. "Pretty sad. I did nothing but empower her. Nothing bad to say. The people around her I'm sure were happy to run to her. They told her I was taking the situation and making it all about me. I'd never do that. Not ever. I was standing up for her. That's all."
As readers know, the "Sober" singer nearly died after taking combination of alcohol and oxycodone laced with fentanyl this July. Following the deadly scare, her family members urged her to stay away from Hollywood and pushed her to cut out multiple friends from her life — including Martin.
"It's really sad. Her and I did really good work and she was empowered by it. I'm hurt. Very. I worked with her for nearly three years and not even a phone call. Just a text. Loyalty works both ways. Definitely not cool," Martin told RadarOnline.com.
The fitness trainer said she was devastated to hear about Lovato's hospitalization even though she knew how "vulnerable" she was in the days leading up to her overdose. She claimed that she tried to help the singer after she opened up to her about her addiction prior to the scare — but clearly, it was not enough.
Now that the two are no longer in good terms, Martin feels a wide gap in her life, and she blames some of Lovato's staffers for her firing.
"The jobs of people around her are dependent on her issues. I empowered her above those issues," Martin explained. "I was a threat to them. This is how I see it. She told me before that certain people would always try to divide. She didn't understand it and I saw it clearly. I always told her 'you're the boss, period.'"
Despite the fact that she misses her famous friend, Martin said she is not one to beg for attention.

"I miss her. I care deeply for her, but I won't beg for any of that," she continued. "Decency and respect. I deserve that. Not a text disposing of everything we built. It's very sad."
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Lovato spent three months at a rehab center in Utah following her overdose.
Earlier this month, however, she left the facility and was spotted looking happy and healthy during a Beverly Hills dinner date with pal Henry Levy.
