'No Facts!' Brad Pitt Claims He Owed Nothing To Hurricane Katrina Victims In Lawsuit
Brad Pitt claims the angry Hurricane Katrina victims who filed a lawsuit against his charity last month have "no facts" in their case, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
According to a shocking new filing obtained by RadarOnline.com, the A-list actor claims he should not be held personally accountable for the Make It Right Foundation's alleged sales of defective homes to hurricane survivors.
"The petition contains no facts to show that Mr. Pitt owed any personal duty to any plaintiff or putative member," the documents filed by Pitt stated.
The Blast was the first to report Pitt's November 20 filing. As RadarOnline.com has reported, two residents of the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans filed the lawsuit charging that Pitt's Make It Right Foundation built them homes that were falling apart.
Plaintiffs in the case accuse Angelina Jolie's ex of "unfair trade practices, continuing tort, negligent inflection of emotional distress and intentional inflection of emotional distress."
The filing makes it clear that Pitt is on the Board of Directors for the Make It Right Foundation – but that he had no dealings with the homeowners themselves.
"First, plaintiffs cannot state a direct claim against Mr. Pitt for breach of duty because, as a director, he does not owe a duty to third parties."
"The petition does not contain any factual allegations showing that Mr. Pitt had any dealings or communications with plaintiffs or any putative class members in connection with the purchase or repair of their homes, let alone conduct sufficient to give rise to a 'personal duty' to them," the document continued.

Local homeowner Kamaria Allen previously claimed that Make It Right "does not build safe homes."
Make It Right was created in 2007, two years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the city. The goal was to replace the destroyed houses with 150 state-of-the-art homes.
In 2013, Make It Right homeowners claimed the wood of their houses was turning gray and were unable to withstand moisture, RadarOnline.com reported.
The lawsuit is likely adding more chaos to Pitt's life. Sources recently dished to RadarOnline.com that Pitt is "terrified" that he will never be able to med his relationship with son, Maddox, 17. The teen was recently spotted looking at colleges in South Korea.
