His preliminary hearing begins in Los Angeles on Monday into the real estate tycoon.
Durst, 75, was arrested on March 14, 2015 in connection with the slaying of his best friend, Susan Berman.

Durst told investigators that he dropped off his wife at a train station in South Salem, New York before she headed for Manhattan.
Former New York Post Journalists Marsha Kranes and Charles Lachman are also expected to take the stand next week as both had previously interviewed Durst.
Prosecutors want to quiz both reporters so that they can compare their testimonies with what Durst revealed on the recent HBO series about him.
Other testimonies will come from various police detectives and other law enforcement officials who worked on the case over the years.
They will provide both written transcripts and audio recordings compiled over the years during the Durst investigation.
During filming Durst was recorded saying: "What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course."
