My Fair Princess star Fan Bingbing has spoken out for the first time since her mysterious disappearance in May.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the Chinese actress was being investigated for large-scale tax evasion, and has been ordered to pay almost $130 million.
On Wednesday, a Beijing News editor posted a photo of the Bingbing's letter of apology.
"As a public figure, I should have abided by laws and regulations, and been a role model in the industry and society," she said. "I shouldn't have lost self-restraint or become lax in managing (my companies), which led to the violation of laws, in the name of economic interests."
She also apologized to her fans for her mistake.
"Without the favorable polices of the Communist Party and state, without the love of the people, there would have been no Fan Bingbing," she added.
According to reports, Fan Binbing, 37, lied to authorities about how much money she received for certain film projects. She used "yin-yang contracts" to conceal her finances and avoid millions of dollars in taxes.
Various companies related to the actress suffered the same issues and were ordered to pay around $42 million in late taxes and fees, plus an $86 million fine.
Bingbing was given a deadline to pay back the large sum, and if she succeeds, she will not be arrested.
RadarOnline.com readers know the X-Men: Days of Future Past star has not been spotted since June, when her tax scandal was exposed. Even in her apology letter, she declined to reveal her whereabouts.
