Katie Holmes Still Silenced By Scientology 6 Years After Tom Cruise Divorce, Expert Claims

Katie Holmes finalized her divorce from Tom Cruise more than six years ago, but the actress and mom is still very much controlled by the church of Scientology, expert Tony Ortega claims.

In a shocking new expose by Us Weekly, the Scientology critic said Homes, 39, “wanted to get away” and wanted primary custody of their daughter Suri, now 12, “so she probably signed some nondisclosure agreement saying she wouldn’t say anything bad about Scientology.”

Ortega noted that Homes likely consulted her attorney father, who told her to stay away from her former friend, powerhouse Scientology whistleblower Leah Remini.

Martin Holmes “probably told her that hanging out with Leah would be considered disparaging the church in the eyes of Tom and the church,” Ortega claimed.

Remini previously told LaPalme magazine, “Why haven’t Katie Holmes or Cruise’s first ex-wife Nicole Kidman spoken out against Scientology? I assume they were forced to sign prohibitive documents.”

“Trust me, Katie’s not allowed to have a meal with me and we used to be close friends. She could lose custody of Suri. It’s quite sick, really.” (The church has denied Remini’s allegations, claiming her “ridiculous rants are unending, and the myths and tales she spreads are growing more bizarre by the day.”)

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Holmes has primary custody of the former couple’s daughter, and Cruise, 56, hasn’t been seen with the little girl since 2013, a year after the divorce.

According to Us' source, Cruise is allowed to see his Suri up to 10 days a month, but “chooses not to because she’s not a Scientologist.”
