Wanna Bet? Jen Fears Ben Traded A Drinking Problem For Gambling Addiction

Jennifer Garner is furious with Ben Affleck for spending a huge chunk of their fortune on gambling, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively, which was a big reason why she shipped him off into rehab.

“The drinking is a disease in Ben’s family, but so is his gambling,” an insider told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Affleck, 46, recently completed a forty day stay at a treatment center  for alcohol addiction, but ex-wife Garner, 46, worries that he’s simply traded a drinking problem for a gambling addiction.

“Jen's anxiety over Ben’s gambling habit reached fever pitch at the start of football season,” the insider added. “She could see Ben losing his car or even his house because the ‘cool’ thing between Ben and his gambling buddies at the moment is high stakes football betting.”

Splashing his fortune seems to be a pastime of Affleck’s, who admits to spoiling his Playboy model girlfriend Shauna Sexton with expensive gifts and cash.

Betting big and betting often on sports could seriously eat into his bank account, especially as it continues to dwindle paying off his massive rehab bill.

Add that to the fact that Affleck’s time away from movie studios also cost him lost money, and Garner is concerned about their three children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6.

“Ben’s obsessed with that stuff and blew hundreds of thousands on bets,” the insider revealed. “Jen wanted him in a place where he couldn't put the family's fortune at risk.”
