Ariana Grande has been emotionally fragile after the shocking death of her former boyfriend Mac Miller's drug overdose death. And this week, the star got the bad news that her friend and fellow singer Selena Gomez has checked into a mental health facility.

Grande was scheduled to sing at the Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala tonight, Saturday, October 13, in Los Angeles, alongside Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth.

But just 24 hours before the event, where her manager Scooter Braun’s wife is getting an award, Grande, 25, pulled out, a source told RadarOnline.com.

"This is very last minute and has thrown the event for a loop. Scooter is scrambling to replace her but she said her anxiety is just too much right now. It’s a mess!" the insider said.

Grande’s ex-boyfriend, rapper Miller, was found dead at his home on September 7, 2018. The singer was very vocal about her grief, often responding to fans on social media who send her prayers and good thoughts.

Grande also posted a touching Instagram message about Miller, saying she was both devastated and angry that he wasn't able to overcome his demons.

She cancelled her performance on SNL, being replaced by Kanye West.

Grande, who is engaged to SNL comedian Pete Davidson, wanted to take a hiatus following Miller's death, but did announce she would be returning to the big stage this December 29 at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

But she couldn't do her SNL appearance and now, the source has revealed, she passed on the cancer gala gig.

Her rep had previously said Grande was dealing with "emotional" issues after Miller's loss.

And the sad mental health issues this week of Gomez, who is friends with Grande, have since also thrown the tight-knit music world for a loop!
