‘Sad’ Ariana Arrives To ‘Wicked’ Rehearsal Late With ‘Puffy Eyes’ After Pete Split
Ariana Grande returned to work one day after news broke that she split from fiancé Pete Davidson. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the singer was upset yet professional while at rehearsal for A Very Wicked Halloween on October 15.
“She skipped rehearsals this morning to focus on clearing her head,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “She showed up later in the afternoon. Her eyes were puffy.”
Although the insider claimed she seemed “sad” while at rehearsal, she “held it together” during practice.
“Her performance was fantastic,” the source said. "She was in true Ariana Grande form. She killed it!”
The source added that although she didn’t talk about her ex-fiancé Davidson while at rehearsal, she was overhead saying, “He’s so mean!”
A separate source close to the singer told RadarOnline.com that she arrived to rehearsal around 2:45pm, which is when she was expected.
Grande, 25, posted a photo of her A Very Wicked Halloween script. The show is to celebrate Wicked’s 15th anniversary on Broadway.
“Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time,” she captioned the photo. “I wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe #wicked15.”
Grande will perform alongside Pentatonix, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. The concert will air on October 29 at 10pm on NBC.
The rehearsal comes one day after news broke that Grande and Davidson split after a whirlwind engagement. The couple got engaged two weeks after confirming their relationship on social media in May.

Another source previously told RadarOnline.com the shocking overdose death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller last month “took a toll” on Grande.
“After Mac died, that changed everything completely for her and Pete,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “She is really going through a lot right now.”
She insider added, “Ariana realized Mac was the love of her life. Her family started to really worry about her after his death, and they told her that Pete was no good for her.”
