Gay Secret: Aaron Hernandez Revealed ‘True Love’ To Mom Before Death, Brother Claims
Aaron Hernandez hid a boyfriend who was his “true love” — and wanted to quit the NFL to settle down with him, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
In the months before he committed suicide in his prison cell on April 19, 2017, the killer confided in his mother Terri about the secret romance, his brother Jonathan says in a new tell-all book.
In The Truth About Aaron, Jonathan writes about an emotional prison visit where the footballer told his mother: “I’ve been hiding my true love from everyone.”
According to his brother, Aaron said he would hook up with his boyfriend whenever he could throughout high school, college, and beyond.
“We’d just cuddle and talk for hours,” Aaron said, according to Jonathan. “I wanted to leave the league so we could start a life together.”
The relationship continued while Aaron was engaged to his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins, with whom he had a daughter, Avielle, in 2013.

Aaron told his mother he had to be extremely drunk to be intimate with Shayanna, and often stayed out until late at night to avoid sleeping with her, Jonathan claimed.
He also voiced his frustrations about how he would not be accepted in the NFL as a gay man.
Aaron even allegedly told his mother he felt being gay was “wrong,” and he hated how he felt about men.
In October, one of Hernandez’ high school friends, Dennis SanSoucie, came forward to claim they had a sexual relationship, but it remains unknown if he is the lover Aaron was referring to as his “true love.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Aaron was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2013 killing of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole, but only served two years before he ended his own life.
