Nick Carter's wife, Lauren Kitt, has sadly suffered a miscarriage after three months of pregnancy, RadarOnline.com has learned.

This Monday, the singer posted a series of tweets announcing the bad news.

"God give us peace during this time," Carter 38, wrote. "I really was looking forward to meeting her after 3 months. I'm heart broken."

The musician is currently on tour in South America without his wife. RadarOnline.com readers know Carter and Kitt, 35, have been married since 2014 and share 2-year-old son Odin together.

"It was a little sister for Odin…" the Backstreet Boys star responded to a fan when asked about the baby's gender.

After the devastating blow, Carter tweeted to his Lima, Peru, fans, saying he would not be able to perform at his Monday night concert. Hours later, however, he changed his mind and got himself on stage for the sake of his loyal fans.

Unfortunately, this is just the latest heartbreak for Carter, who in the past few months has been fighting various sexual assault accusations.
