‘Married At First Sight’s Tristan & Mia Get Into Blowout Fight Before Divorce Filing

Married at First Sight viewers continue to watch Tristan Thompson and Mia Bally’s marriage fall apart. In an exclusive sneak peek, the couple got into a heated fight weeks before their divorce filing.
In the clip obtained by RadarOnline.com, the couple fought before their big move to Houston, Texas for Thompson’s job.
“We decided the insurance is going to be combined because we’re one,” he explained in his confessional. “We got most of it done, but not the health. She had made a call like a week or so ago but didn’t follow up on it. She gave me a number, but it was the wrong number. It feels like she just isn’t taking it seriously. Her priorities aren’t in order.”
Thompson then revealed that he already canceled his insurance plan.
“God forbid something happened to me today,” he said. “I’m not covered by any insurance.”
She replied, “That’s something we should sit and talk about then. I didn’t know about you canceling it, that’s a big deal.”
He then snapped, “No offense, but it’s a common sense thing to me. I’m not going to have two insurances.”
She fired back, “If you make a decision like that we should both be aware of it. We never even had a sit-down conversation about you doing that.”
Then in Bally’s confessional, she questioned their marriage.
“I got married at first sight to have a life long partner,” she said. “I’m worried that Tristan didn’t tell me about this. We’re supposed to be working together as a team and building a future together. This makes me feel we’re not in this together at all. That definitely hurts.”
Bally filed for divorce from Thompson before the season finale on September 4, 2018.
In the divorce papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, the petition read, “The marriage has become insupportable due to discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate ends of the marital relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
The marital issues started on their honeymoon when a warrant was issued for Bally’s arrest for three counts of stalking and one count of unauthorized use of an access card on February 6, 2018. Bally was arrested on March 28, 2018 at the airport in July while on her way to her honeymoon with Thompson.
When she was released, she claimed her identity was stolen and police arrested the wrong person. She then admitted to lying about the arrest.
Although Thompson considered leaving his wife, he stood by Bally.
Trouble hit the couple again when he caught her on a dating app.
“I don’t trust you,” he told Bally on an episode. “There’s a cloud that’s hovering around that’s stopping me from falling in love with you.”
She yelled back, “I didn’t get Married at First Sight to be with someone who doesn’t trust me.”
