It Was My Fault! Ashlee Simpson Takes Blame For 'SNL' Lip Sync Disaster In 2004

Ashlee Simpson was at the top of her singing career in 2004 — that is until she was caught lip syncing on Saturday Night Live!  Now, 14 years later, she's finally coming clean about the humiliating moment.

This Wednesday, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she even took full responsibility incident!

"What happened there was I had a vocal problem," Simpson, 33, told Andy Cohen while sitting next to husband Evan Ross on the show set. "I had two nodes beating against each other and I woke up and I had no voice and then I should've said 'No, I will not go on, I will not do this."

Simpson added that while she returned to the show for a redo, no one ever let her lip-syncing mishap go.

The blonde beauty said that the pressure was "heavy" and affected her because she was so young — but eventually, it just made her stronger.

Now, she's making her comeback with E! reality show Ashlee & Evan, and a new duet with her man.
