CLAWS OUT! TAYLOR SWIFT & JENNIFER HUDSON SET FOR OSCAR SHOWDOWN OVER FELINE FILM 'CATS'

Get ready for a catfight at the Oscars! Pop superstars Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson are joining James Corden and Ian McKellen in the film version of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical Cats, and the two singing superstars could find themselves battling it out for Best Actress honors!

“Taylor and Jennifer are both super excited about getting the parts in Cats,” sources told Naughty Gossip.

Hudson, 36, already knows a little something about winning awards, having snagged Best Supporting Actress in 2007 for her role in Dreamgirls.

The former American Idol contestant will play Grizabella, and gets the honor of singing showstopper “Memory.”

It’s unclear which role will be played by Swift, 28, who has dabbled in big screen roles but has yet to have a breakout performance.

“Taylor has been looking to star in a movie for a long time but hadn’t found the perfect role until now,” the source added.

In 2012 Swift was in talks to star in the film version of Les Misérables but that didn’t work out.

Now the “Shake It Off” singer find herself in instant Oscar discussion, but she may have to take down Hudson to grab the gold.

“It has been 12 years since Hudson won the Oscar for Dreamgirls,” the source spilled. “This role might just give Jennifer another one, that is if Taylor doesn’t get it!”
