David Foster hooking-up with Katharine McPhee did not surprise his daughter Sara Foster.

The couple is now engaged despite their 34-year-age difference.

But his 37-year-old daughter claims her 'thirty something' friends were always interested in dating him too!

She revealed to Us at the Amazon Back to School Prep event in Malibu, "He's like forever young."

"His essence and his aura is that of like a 40-year-old," she said of the 68-year-old music producer. "My 30-year-old friends have always wanted to date him. Always!"

And despite what other people may think about her father's engagement to American Idol star McPhee, she is happy about it.

Sara says "people need to just get over it" and "mind your own business."

And she approves of her dad's choice of partner.

"I've known her for a really long time, and I think she's a really, really lovely girl – the age difference means nothing," she revealed.

When the couple announced their engagement in June, they were attacked by online trolls.
