Katharine McPhee suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Oceana SeaChange Summer Party on Saturday, July 21! The singer/actress, 34, recently shocked fans by getting engaged to much older composer David Foster, 68, who has been married four times before. McPhee-ver! Katharine showed up to sing at the Laguna Beach, Calif., event recognizing the importance of preserving the ocean. She wore a white skirt and matching jacket but unfortunately, one of her breasts popped out!
The wardrobe malfunction at the Oceana SeaChange Summer Party was embarrassing, but McPhee covered up her chest and went on with the show. She posed alone at the event—but is now planning her wedding to Foster after a surprising May/December romance!
McPhee performed at the function to preserve the habitats and wildlife important in the ocean, including turtles. More than 400 philanthropists and celebrities mingled at a private estate.
Earlier, McPhee had flaunted herself wearing her huge diamond engagement ring from Foster on Instagram. But it was also a poignant post after the death of her father Daniel. The Scorpion star wrote as a caption, "It's been a hard week. Lots of tears but I want to thank my friends and family for all the love and support. My dad was so happy for me. My ring was the last thing I showed my dad before he passed and makes me smile when I look at this as a reminder of our last conversation."
McPhee and Foster, who was previously married to former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, confirmed their engagement news on Tuesday, July 3 RadarOnline.com reported.
Foster popped the question while they were on a romantic trip in Capri, Italy and McPhee shared on Instagram, "He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri. Totally dark, only stars."
But the match has raised eyebrows because of Foster's age and his many previous marriages. McPhee, who first met Foster when she was competing on American Idol, got perturbed by the online hate about their engagement, writing, "Y’all should be worrying more about registering to vote and midterm elections than who’s marrying me."
McPhee added in her emotional post this weekend about her father's death that Foster had been her rock. "I’m ready to share with all of you what has been my sunshine amongst this painful loss.
My love wisely said to me the other day that 'death is the only thing that is 100 percent inevitable and the thing we are least prepared for.' So today we’re celebrating life and not forgetting love. ❤."
