RadarOnline.com has uncovered terrifying new details about Lyric McHenry's last moments before her body was found on a sidewalk in the Bronx on Tuesday.
Etienne Maurice, the son of singer Sheryl Lee Ralph, referred to McHenry, 26, as his "sister." The distraught friend fought back tears as he uncovered what he believes were her last footsteps – and it begins with her leaving a club and entering a car with a mystery man.
"All we know is she left in a white BMW," Maurice explained. "We don't know who was driving that car."
As RadarOnline.com readers know, McHenry spent Monday night celebrating her 26th birthday with friends in New York City. Hours later, her body was found sprawled on a sidewalk near the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx.
According to reports, the Stanford grad was 20 weeks pregnant, and was found in possession of a small bag of cocaine when her body was discovered.
Maurice told RadarOnline.com he couldn't fathom why McHenry – a bicoastal film producer with a big circle of friends – would wind up in the Bronx.
"She would never be caught dead in the Bronx," Maurice said.
Ralph's son added that McHenry's family is now trying to figure out who the driver of the BMW is.
"The driver in the car was a male and it was just her in the car," said Maurice.
The concerned friend added that "nobody" in McHenry's close circle of friends knows who the mystery man could be.
On Wednesday, the New York City Medical Examiner's Office confirmed it is "investigating the medical cause of death" for the young star.
Sources previously revealed to RadarOnline.com that Lyric's mother, Jennifer, was rushed to the hospital after learning of her daughter's tragic death.
McHenry appeared on EJ Johnson's E! reality show, EJMC. But Maurice said he wants her to be remembered for her other positive attributes.
"She's a Stanford grad, she was a volunteer for the Obama campaign, she was a great spirit, and my most loyal friend," he said.
