Another member of the My 600-Lb Life family has passed away. Lisa Fleming died on August 23 at age 50 in Houston, Texas, RadarOnline.com can exclusively confirm.
“I am truly at a loss for words right now,” her daughter Danielle Fleming wrote on her Facebook page. “God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here, but He knew what was best for me. I didn’t need to see you like that!”
She continued that she held her mother’s hand for four hours, knowing “nothing I could’ve done would bring you back to me.”
“Anybody who knows me knows I gave my mother my ALL,” she continued the heartfelt post. “She was my world and I was her #NumberOneGirl. Mommy, I love you from here to the stars and back!”
She added that her children loved her “even more.”
“I’m happy you’re no longer in pain and stuck in that bed,” she ended the post. “Y’all pray for me, check on me, come see about me because I am not ok! I love my mama & I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worse enemy. Rest In Peace, Mother Arleasher M. Fleming!”
Fleming reached 704 pounds at the age of 49. That’s when she reached out to Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.
After complaining about pain in her leg, her daughter checked and noticed she had maggots in the folds of her skin.
While on a controlled diet at the hospital, she lost 87 pounds. But, she had a difficult time following the strict diet and gained 29 pounds when she returned home.
She was kicked out of the program and was told she needed to lose 50 pounds on her own to get back in.
She never underwent the weight loss surgery.
The death comes after contestant James “L.B.” Bonner committed suicide at age 30 on August 2, 2018 by gunshot wound to the head.
Contestant Robert Buchel, who weighed 842 pounds, passed away from a heart attack during filming.
