Katharine McPhee Jokes About Being Step-Mom To David Foster’s Adult Daughter

Katharine McPhee is well aware of the age gap between her and fiancé David Foster—and she couldn’t care less!
This Tuesday, the “Waitress” star posted a photo from her gorgeous British Columbia vacation with her hubby-to-be.
“FEELS LIKE I COULD HAVE BEEN INVITED ON THIS BEAUTIFUL TRIP,” Barely Famous reality star, Erin Foster, wrote in the comments section of Katharine’s post.
Witty Katharine, of course, fired back.
“@erinfoster mommy and daddy need alone time,” she wrote along with a laughing emoji, face palm emoji and shrugging emoji.
RadarOnline.com readers know both Katharine, 34, and Erin, 36, have maintained a sense of humor about their otherwise-awkward age parallel, ever since the American Idol alum started dating Erin’s dad, David, 68.
During Katharine and David’s first public outing, Erin even posted a video of the two, writing: “Excited about my new step mom.”

Then, when Katharine and David announced their engagement via Instagram, Erin liked the post and commented: “Mommmyyy.”
It’s unknown if David finds the age humor funny, but his leading ladies have sure bonded over the awkwardness!
