A geriatric duo broke free from a German nursing home and attended a series of popular heavy metal concerts.
According to reports, staff at the assisted living facility noticed the seniors were gone and contacted local police on Aug. 3.
Officials were able to track the men down at the four-day Wacken Open Air festival in Schleswig Holstein, where the police said they found the "disoriented and dazed" pair at 3 a.m. cavorting with a crowd of around 75,000 metalheads.
"They obviously liked the metal festival," police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld told Norddeutscher Rundfunk.
"The care home quickly organized a return transport after police picked them up," Neufeld added.
