RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned Demi Lovato’s drug use may have spiraled so out of control, she was sticking needles in her arms to get high.

"Demi had evidence of intravenous drug use when she was taken to the hospital after her drug overdose last week,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “The physical signs were on her arms.”

Lovato, 25, sparked concern for her well-being after she relapsed following six years of sobriety.

The “Sober” singer’s troubles came to a tragic head on July 24, when she was rushed to the hospital after her assistant found her unresponsive in bed just before noon following a night of hard partying.

She was revived with Narcan, which treats opiate overdoses.

Doctors are now working to address her ongoing mental health issues and address other “complications," sources told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, in order to get a handle on the scary situation, Lovato’s mom, Dianna Hart, “is talking about getting a conservatorship because she does not trust Demi with anything at the moment,” an insider said.

“She feels like this is the only thing she can do to ensure her daughter will not make the same mistake again.”

Tragically, added the insider, Lovato “still poses a risk to herself.”
