Danielle Staub Lawyers Up In Nasty Divorce Battle Following Verbal Abuse Claims
Feb. 25 2019, Updated 11:49 a.m. ET
Danielle Staub and husband Marty Caffrey's divorce battle just keeps getting nastier!
After Caffrey accused The Real Housewives of New Jersey star of "financial, verbal and emotional abuse" and then reportedly hired an attorney, the 56-year-old mother of two is firing back by lawyering up, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
"Danielle has received a letter advising her to retain counsel, which she has," a rep for Staub told RadarOnline.com. "The two attorneys spoke and both sides agreed to keep this matter private. It's disappointing to her that only 48 hours later that understanding is apparently no longer being honored."
A source close to Caffrey told All About The Tea this weekend that he had retained counsel.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Caffrey left Staub in July, just two months after they tied the knot.
In a statement to RadarOnline.com, he accused Staub of ignoring him, mistreating him and using him for his money.
