Last Ditch Effort? Ben Affleck & Jen Garner Try 'Intense' Family Therapy Sessions In Rehab
Just days after Ben Affleck reentered rehab, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that he and his ex, Jen Garner, are fighting his substance-abuse demons as a family.
The actress and their three kids — Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6 — "have been there, and are getting family counseling and intense therapy sessions," a source close to Affleck told RadarOnline.com.
"The girls are well aware of what is going on with their dad and they also understand what alcoholism is."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Affleck, 46, sparked concern when his most recent struggles began to take their toll and culminated with the recent breakup of his yearlong relationship with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, 38, and fling with 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
Affleck, who has famously done multiple stints in rehab to battle alcohol addiction, was spotted on Aug. 20 accepting a delivery at his Los Angeles home of what appeared to be booze. Just two days later, Garner, 46, drove her ex to get help at a treatment center.

The former couple — who have tried to remain amicable since their split in 2015 — have reportedly finalized their long and drawn out divorce, and their split will be made official once Affleck's done with rehab.
"Jen has no intentions of working anything out with him, but she does want him to stay sober so that he can be a father to their kids," the source told RadarOnline.com.
And it isn't just Garner, 46, who is hopeful Affleck can get his life back on track. "His entire family is very supportive," noted the insider.
"Ben's brother has been there every day and stays for hours and hours each time."
