Angelina Hits Back At Brad In Nasty Custody Battle: A Loan Is Not Child Support!

The vicious legal feud between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is far from over.

In the past week, the actress accused the actor of not paying her enough child support over the past two years. He then slammed back, saying he actually gave her a loan of $8 million to buy her L.A. mansion and gave her an additional $1.3 million for their children.

Now, Jolie, 43, is hitting back, saying that “A loan is not, however, child support and to represent it as such is misleading and inaccurate.”

“What has been filed by Brad’s side today is a blatant attempt to obfuscate the truth and distract from the fact that he has not fully met his legal obligations to support the children,” Bley DeJean, Jolie’s lawyer, said in the statement to PEOPLE.

Explaining the loan, she said that Pitt, 54, was instructed to give Jolie money to buy a new house for her and their six children—since he stayed in the family’s longtime home—but instead lent her the money and asked her to pay it back with interest.

She agreed, but said she needed him to pay 50 percent of the children’s costs of living, which he allegedly has not done.

“Typically a father of means would pay these expenses voluntarily without the need for a request or court order. We are hopeful that this can be resolved without further delay or posturing,” said DeJean.

RadarOnline.com readers know Pitt’s legal team said the only thing the actor wants is to end his marriage to Jolie and peacefully co-parent their children.
