Chet Hanks' Baby Mama Family Drama: Child's Grandma Was Accused Of Violent Behavior
Tom Hanks’ recovering addict son Chet recently opened up about how fatherhood and his young daughter changed his life for the better.
But RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned little Michaiah's mother Tiffany Miles' family has an alleged history of feuding, as the 2-year-old's grandmother has been accused of violence, abuse and bizarre behavior in a 2015 request for a temporary restraining order.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the tot's great-grandmother, Lula Owens, filed for a request for a temporary restraining order against her daughter, Michaiah's grandmother Diane Owens.
Lula claimed she lived in constant fear that Diane "would try to hurt or kill” her.
Lula, then 84, asked the court in Indio, California, for a temporary restraining order after allegedly being rushed to the hospital due to emotional stress she claimed was brought on by Diane.
“I couldn’t speak and I was shaking because I was scared about what she would do to me if I told the doctors and nurses the truth about the abuse,” Lula alleged.

She further alleged she called elder abuse authorities who informed her she was “being mentally emotionally abused” and that she “needed to remove her daughter from her home 'before something bad happens.'” (She did not offer any proof from officials.)
She alleged her daughter restricted who visited the house, and monitored the phone.
She also claimed Diane often became violent — and slept in the living room on an air mattress because of a parasite living in her head!

“She threatened to throw all my belongings out on the street. She doesn’t clean up or do anything. When she gets mad she breaks things in the house on purpose,” Lula complained in the court documents.
“The last time she did take me to the store, she threatened to kick me out of her car if I didn’t shut my mouth," she alleged.
In response to the claims, Diane asked the judge to deny the restraining order request, and vehemently denied any abuse or being responsible for her mom’s “maladies.”
She admitted she and her daughter moved in 2012 when she was unemployed and needed to “get back on her feet" — but claimed she “helped” her mother by taking her to the grocery store and doctor’s appointments.
Diane attributed her mother’s filing to grief that “may be affecting her judgment” after the deaths of her two children.
Though a temporary restraining order was granted, a permanent restraining order was denied. The temporary order is no longer active.
RadarOnline.com first reported that Chet — who now has two years sober — was a new father in 2016, and revealed exclusive photos of the 27-year-old’s daughter and baby mama, Tiffany Miles.
Diane previously told RadarOnline.com that daddy Chet's famous actor father Tom has been doing a "great job" with grandpa duties.
