Blackish Star Anthony Anderson Probed For Alleged Assault On Woman - Details

Blackish star Anthony Anderson is being investigated over an alleged assault involving a woman.

The 47-year-old star is currently being probed by Hollywood LAPD after the woman, who originally catered for him, filed a complaint.

The incident happened over a year ago after she met the actor while working at an event he threw.

It is understood that the woman met with Anderson a second time to discuss future business opportunities and that is when the alleged assault occurred.

It is understood she came forward after the "#MeToo movement" and felt compelled to do so.

The investigation onto Anderson has been described as an 'open investigation' by the police.

Anderson's rep said: "It's unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim."

In 2004, an extra on set of the Oscar-winning movie 'Hustle & Flow' accused Anderson and an assistant director of raping her in a trailer on the Memphis set.

However, case was dropped after the woman's testimony did not produce probable cause to warrant the charges standing.

At the time Memphis Judge Anthony Johnson said: "This is absolutely the most suspicious case I've ever heard."
