June 19 2018, Updated 9:56 a.m. ET
Cops are searching for “two armed suspects,” whom they believe shot and killed rapper XXXTentacion -- and RadarOnline.com has exclusive details about the new investigative twist.
Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, 20, was “approached by two armed suspects,” after leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield, Florida shortly before 4pm EST on Monday, June 18, 2018, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
“At least one of the suspects fired a gun striking Onfroy,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Both of the suspects fled in a dark-color SUV.”
In 2016, XXXTentacion was arrested on domestic violence charges against his pregnant girlfriend -- and was awaiting trial on the felony charges.
XXXTentacion was facing 17 felony charges but was off house arrest in order to tour when the shocking shooting happened.
He was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to Broward Health North hospital.
“Investigators say it appears to be a possible robbery,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact BSO homicide detectives Walt Foster or John Curcio at (954) 321-4210 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.
