Don't Talk! Kate Spade Sister Reta Saffo Claims She has Been Threatened By Family

Tragic designer Kate Spade's family are being torn apart by her suicide.

Her sister Reta Saffo is now claiming that she has been threatened for speaking out about the designer's battle with mental health issues.

She claims estranged brother Earl Brosnahan threatened her after she spoke out about Spade's plight.

'I have been threatened by text messages from my estranged family today for having spoken out - for speaking the truth,' she claims.

And to make matters worse Saffo , son Saffo's son Laith claims his relatives - including Spade's husband Andy - were more concerned with trying to 'cover up' his aunt's mental illness.

'My aunts and uncles, and even Andy and David are trying to do a cover up— acting as if she was not ill,' he revealed.

'I grieve for my dear sweet cousin Bea— but not for my Uncle Andy. He only cared about her and his image!!!'

Just hours after Spade's suicide, her older sister Saffo boldly spoke out and told The Star on June 5 in an email that the horrific suicide "was not unexpected by me."

Saffo cited her sister's self-medicating with alcohol and also revealed Spade had struggled with mental illness for years.
