Artie Lange Admits He Could Relapse After Escaping Prison Time
Artie Lange might be heading to the slammer after all.
Just one day after the judge let him off the hook with a four-year probation sentence and 50 hours of community service in his drug possession case, the troubled comedian took to Twitter to reveal he could relapse soon, RadarOnline.com has learned.

"The judge was very fair! But 4 yrs probation is a long time," Lange wrote. "I am gonna try my best. If I end up in jail for yrs let my life be a lesson to you kids battling heroin."
Lange went on to thank the assistant prosecutor, Tony Guitierez, and the judge on the case, Nancy Sivilli.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the prosecutor warned that Lange could be close to death if he didn't get a tougher sentence.

“Mr. Lange is so self destructive that he can’t even seem to even help himself when he’s under the gun of a sentence,” Gutierrez added. “He’s either going to be found one day overdosed and dead somewhere or he is going to violate this probation.”

But despite his plea, Judge Sivilli of the Essex County Court in New Jersey ruled to give the 50-year-old one last shot.
She added that it would be his final chance.
“You pose the biggest risk to yourself,” she told Lange after his sentencing. “One of your doctors said that if you relapse again, you’re basically going to kill yourself.”
“I hope you take this sentence seriously and do what you need to do — not only for you but for your family, who depend upon you,” she said. “This is your one chance.”
Lange is expected to complete an outpatient program and is required to submit information on the program within 10 days.
He could face up to 5 years in prison if he violates his probation.
