Alec Baldwin Suicide Shocker! Actor Admits He Wanted To Kill Himself
Alec Baldwin made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show Monday morning where he admitted to being suicidal a few years back.
When Stern broached the subject of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade's tragic deaths, Baldwin revealed that he also thought about killing himself.
"I very genuinely felt bad for the guy," Baldwin said of Bourdain. "Here's a guy who I thought had everything."
Baldwin added that Bourdain's death hit him hard and was "affected" all weekend by the devastating news. When the 60-year-old contemplated suicide, he revealed graphic details to the radio mogul on how he would've done it differently.
"That would not be the way I would do it," Baldwin said of Bourdain. "I would take a lot of pills, then get in a car in my garage, and turn the car on. Put on a really nice piece of music. Eric Clapton. Layla."
"Have you ever had suicidal thoughts?" Stern asked.
"Yes. I wrote it in my book," Baldwin replied.
He admitted that his suicidal thoughts triggered during the tenacious custody battle for his daughter, Ireland in 2008.
