The Show Must Go On? 'Roseanne' Cast Holds Emergency Spinoff Meeting

Though it's been just one day since ABC shocked the world by canceling their number-one rated show, Roseanne, the drama is far from over!

As the sitcom's disgraced star, 65-year-old Roseanne Barr, continues to make excuses for her racist Twitter rant, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that her now-former costars have a different agenda — saving the show!

"The cast is meeting today because they refuse to give up on their fans, or the family that they were building with each other," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"Since the show was called Roseanne, they do not know how they would replace her, or if it would even work without her," continued the insider, "but they have all gotten so much feedback asking them to rebrand and continue with the same cast," minus Barr.

As RadarOnline.com reported, the drama started on Monday night when Barr made racist comments on Twitter about former President Barack Obama's onetime aide, Valerie Jarrett.

After Roseanne Executive Producer Wanda Sykes announced she quit the show over the controversial situation, Sara Gilbert, who starred as Barr's TV daughter and also served as an e.p., blasted Barr on Twitter.

Moments later, ABC announced the cancellation.

"Sara is super upset about all of this, just as everyone else is," said the insider. "But she is getting so much crap from everyone about her comments on Twitter because the show was allegedly her idea to begin with."
