Bill Cosby may die behind bars if the team of lawyers who helped get him convicted of sexual assault has their way, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

"Prosecutors will ask the judge to not only sentence Bill Cosby to prison, but to remand him into custody immediately at the sentencing,” an insider revealed.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Cosby, 80, was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent sexual assault against Andrea Constand on April 26, and he is currently under house arrest at his palatial estate in Pennsylvania.

“The defense will ask the judge to allow Mr. Cosby to remain out on bail pending his appeal, and if the judge denies that request, they will ask for house arrest to continue,” noted the insider.

“During the first trial, prosecutors offered Mr. Cosby the opportunity to register as a sex offender and serve six months house arrest if he pled guilty to one of the charges against him,” explained the source.

“The offer was turned down, but expect Cosby’s attorney to argue that if house arrest was good enough of an offer during the first trial, it should now be considered as an option.”

The disgraced comedian’s official sentencing date has yet to be scheduled.
