A former producer of The Jerry Springer Show has been arrested for the murder of her deaf sister three years ago, RadarOnline.com has learned. Jill Blackstone was busted Thursday and charged with the crime.

“On March 14, 2015, Jill Blackstone drugged her sister Wendy Blackstone and placed her in the garage of their North Hollywood residence along with three pet dogs,” an official release from the L.A.P.D. states. “Jill Blackstone set the garage on fire, killing Wendy Blackstone and two of the dogs; staging it as an accident.”

Homicide detectives say Jill was frustrated and tired of being forced to provide Wendy long-term care. It also was expensive to provide the proper care for her sister.

Jill was first arrested shortly after her sister’s death in 2015, as RadarOnline.com reported. But she was quickly released, with no charges filed.

The case, however, was never closed, according to the police news release.

“The investigative follow up required for a successful prosecution included significant travel, research, numerous interviews, and additional forensic evidence processing which added time to this extremely complex and sensitive investigation,” the release states.
