Don’t call me by my father’s name!
Nicolas Cage changed his famous last name when he wanted to break into the acting biz and RadarOnline.com exclusively learned that his troubled son just did the same thing.
Weston Coppola Cage, 27, filed documents requesting to change his name to Weston Cage Coppola according to doc obtained by RadarOnline.com.
He filed for the name change on February 14, 2018, paying $425 for the filing fee.
Weston’s father, the National Treasure actor born Nicolas Coppola, changed his name in an effort not to be accused of nepotism since he was the nephew of the famous director, Francis Ford Coppola.
His son did the opposite, switching from Cage to Coppola, but on his Instagram page he still listed himself as Weston Cage.
2017 was a disastrous year for Weston, who was slapped with DUI and hit-and-run charges back in February, after getting in a fender bender and speeding off, leading cops on a wild chase.
