Kidnapping victim Michelle Knight’s husband – who she’s kept secret until recently – was once charged with theft, RadarOnline.com can exclusively confirm.

RadarOnline.com broke the story identifying Knight’s husband as Ohio resident Miguel Antonio Rodriguez.

Knight – one of the three women kidnapped and held hostage by Ariel Castro – recently revealed that she was happily married – but failed to disclose his full name.

Now, court documents obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com confirm Knight’s husband once had a warrant out for his arrest after he was charged with petty theft in 2006.

According to the docs, the kidnapping survivor’s husband was charged for theft on May 12, 2006 when he allegedly stole from a Meijer store in Columbus, Ohio.

Rodriguez allegedly deprived the owner of a total of $73.48, according to the documents. The papers claimed Rodriguez “did knowingly obtain or exert control over a hat valued at $15.99, one Falls Creek shirt valued at $9.99, and other miscellaneous merchandise valued at $47.50.”

A court official told RadarOnline.com the case was ultimately dismissed years later, in May 2015 based on a “constitutional issue.”

According to his attorney, Rodriguez maintains that there was no theft and it was a case of mistaken identity, which is why the case was ultimately dismissed.

Rodriguez, now 39, lives in Ohio with Knight, 36. Recent photos of the couple exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com show the husband very hands-on with Knight as he helped her in and out of their car outside of their home.
